DC 2017

In January of 2017, I traveled to Washington DC to meet people who elected Trump and ask them in person what they expected of this presidency. I recorded the interviews hoping it would help me make sense of the situation. Since then I’ve been struggling to understand these voices. I see a profound disconnect between what people said at the inauguration and what I see now in current events. Two years into the presidency I no longer recognize those hopeful voices asking for the country to come together.
